Business Continuity Planning
RiskLogic uses the following flexible, yet well-proven methodology to develop tailored business continuity programs:
Engagement:
As the first stage of any Business Continuity Project, RiskLogic’s expert consultants will clarify the required scope of work and establish defined project objectives and key performance indicators. These objectives drive the development of the business continuity program ensuring that the project is an appropriate cultural fit for the organisation and in unison with your organisational objectives and stakeholder requirements. The engagement process is also used to gain buy-in to the project at all levels within an organisation.
Business Impact Analysis & Threat Assessment:
A Business Impact Analysis (BIA) is conducted to accurately map the vulnerabilities of the organisation and identify critical work flows. Through the BIA process, we identify all mission critical business functions for each business and operational unit along with recovery timeframes and resource requirements. This work is used to establish the basis for effective planning and to enable a timely recovery in the event of a disruption. The BIA process is based on a clear framework and methodology which may involve site inspections, interviews and review of existing documentation.
An assessment is then conducted by RiskLogic to identify key threats that may result in significant business disruptions. Threats will be identified, rated against likelihood and consequence scales and then assessed against control measures. Findings are applied to the BIA process and used in the development of recovery strategies. The Threat Assessment process is conducted in accordance with the Australian Risk Management Standard AS 4360:2004.
Gap Analysis & Recommendations:
On completion of a BIA and organisational review, RiskLogic can perform a gap analysis to measure the organisations current level of preparedness. Any deficiencies are clearly identified in a succinct report along with practical recommendations to address these gaps.
Business Continuity Plan:
A Business Continuity Management Plan is an action document that sets out the processes and procedures to be followed during an interruption. RiskLogic will customise the framework and structure of your Business Continuity Management Plan to meet individual organisational requirements.
All RiskLogic Business Continuity Management Plans can be delivered in ‘kit’ format including a distinctive binder to hold:
