OHS Management System
An OHS Management System goes beyond the standard rules and regulations. It’s a best-practice approach for meeting your health and safety obligations to both employees and stakeholders. OHS Management System Scope
In accordance with AS4801, your OHS Management System will include the following key components:
- Management commitment including an OHS policy.
- Planning methodologies including: program objectives, targets, performance indicators and methods to integrate the OHS Management System into business operations.
- OHS roles and responsibilities.
- OHS Implementation Plan.
- Risk management procedures.
- OHS procedures for all key areas such as employee consultation arrangements, hazard reporting, employee training, manual handling, etc.
- Monitoring and measurement procedures including: ongoing workplace inspections, evaluation against performance targets, review of risk control measures, incident investigations and corrective actions,
- Management reviews and procedures for continuous improvement including: OHS goals and methodologies and changes required due to OHS incidents, audit results, changing legislation, etc.
- Support tools including a range of forms and templates to facilitate implementation and ensure adequate record keeping.
Program Implementation Guide
A program implementation guide is also provided with your OHS Management System to help you “kickstart” your OHS program. This guide provides direction on key steps to be taken and their recommended sequence to ensure that your OHS Management System is implemented correctly.
