10th December 2019
The tragic events that unfolded in Christchurch on 15th March, 2019, are a sobering reminder of the very real threat that active aggressors pose on crowded places. The human impacts of these events are always profound – shaping our communities, critical services and business operating environment.
Subsequent to these events, questions around lockdowns have been raised within organisations managing crowded places and public spaces, such as university campuses, retail precincts and tourist destinations.
With firsthand experience of the Christchurch event, Navitas, RiskLogic and First 5 Minutes delivered a breakfast seminar on how preparedness, communication and coordination can assist in minimising both the immediate and ongoing impacts to people, property and operations.
